It's perhaps a little obvious given that we operate within the EdTech sector, but we love to learn at Administrate. We've discussed before how Administratives (employees of Administrate) read a book a month, sharing their learning with the wider team, but it's worth noting that we're also massive 'snackers' of digital content too!

In addition, we love speaking to, and learning from, our customers. We asked a handful of them, 'what are your must-read resources to keep up to date with the latest training industry news, tips and trends?' and the below is a digest of their top information sources.

Of course, all of our customers are avid readers of the Administrate blog (!) but in addition, the following are some of their go-to sources for the latest on the training and learning industries:

Kasper Spiro

Website: https://kasperspiro.com/ (and https://www.easygenerator.com/blog/)

CEO of eLearning authoring software company, Easygenerator, Kasper is also a highly respected EdTech blogger, who posts regularly on his personal blog and via the Easygenerator blog. Kasper also spoke at LITE 2016, Administrate's annual Edinburgh EdTech conference, on the subject of user generated content in eLearning. Watch his presentation below and check out his blog for some fantastic advice on how to get the most out of your eLearning efforts.

Training Press Releases

Website: https://www.trainingpressreleases.com/

Training Press Releases collect announcements from learning providers and distributes them to the learning industry's media via their website, a RSS feed and Twitter profile. According to their website, "Training Press Releases reaches journalists and editors at online and print news services, news aggregators, bloggers and commentators, industry analysts, conference and event orgainzers, government bodies, groups and forums."

Administrate customer, Kevin Streater of ForgeRock, is a regular reader, commenting that Training Press Release helps:

"...keep me up to date with day-to-day changes in the training world in the UK and Europe".

TED Talks

Website: https://www.ted.com/talks

Very popular in the Administrate office, there's no shortage of educational TED talks on the subject of learning and development. We've highlighted a few 'Terrific TED Talks for Training Professionals' on our blog previously, but with well over 2,000 talks on ted.com, you'll be spoilt for choice for inspiration. Our customers love TED Talks too, as Angelo Garcia III of Future Environment Designs notes:

"I find them helpful in watching different people’s style in presenting"

Learning & Performance Institute

Website: https://www.thelpi.org/

The professional body for Learning & Development specialists, with a wealth of helpful learning resources, is a firm favourite for Kevin Streater of ForgeRock who suggests that it's:

"...quite often the first place to come across new innovations in workplace learning"

Learning and Skills Group (LSG)

Website: http://learningandskillsgroup.ning.com/

An international community of over 10,000 learning and development professionals, the Learning and Skills Group (LSG) is a popular hive of industry discussion and the official community of the Learning TechnologiesLearning and Skills conference and exhibition. Another favourite of Kevin Streater, he notes that the community:

"...know what's what in the technology space"
